No More Tears

Author: Donna Word Chappell
My daughter, I love you; no one knows how much.
How I long to bless you with my tender touch.
Be quiet my daughter. Be still; wait and hear --
I’ll woo you with words that will banish each fear.
Come away from the world; leave the strife far behind.
Leave your toil; receive comfort for your storm-tossed mind.
Reach heavenward, Darling, stretch forth your wings
And hear the sweet strains the angelic choir sings.
Peace, peace, my Beloved, in a pure, constant flow
And joy in abundance I long to bestow.
Reach out, precious one, take my hand and embrace
The love that is thine and the fullness of grace.
Be seated beside me on my throne this day
And the Father Himself will wipe your tears away.

Psalm 130

Author: Donna Word Chappell
Psalm 130 Out of the depths I cried unto Thee,
Oh hear my prayer, Lord, hear my plea.
Turn not away my solicitation,
But hear the voice of my supplication.
How black they are, these sins of mine,
When mirrored in Thy love divine.
If each sin Thou should reprimand,
Before Thy wrath, Lord, who could stand?
And if for sins there was not remission,
How sad would be this world’s condition.
But grace is found within Thy heart.
Thou hast said Thy mercy will not depart
From those who truly seek remission
and fear Thee Lord, with true contrition.,
And so I’ll wait for thee, dear Lord,
and I’ll find hope within Thy Word.
I’ll wait for Thee as does the one
Who is waiting for the rising sun.
As one who waits for dawn and light,
I’ll wait for thee, Lord, with delight.
So come now, all you little ones,
And hear the news of God’s own son.
Let me tell you how He redeems,
How He’ll give you hope beyond your dreams.
How he your sins will not remember
From January until December
Listen now, as I recite
How He will save you, with delight,
And how He loves you in such a way
That He died for your sins that day.
Oh listen, now, and lend an ear.
I want to shout where all can hear.
Get on your knees, and in that place
You too will learn of his saving grace.

Wooing of the Shepherd

Author: Donna Word Chappell
Oh worship me, oh worship me,
my sheep — I beg of you.
Oh how I long to let my joy
and love and peace shine through.
Oh how I long to heal your souls,
my lovely previous lambs;
To give you strength and victory
o’er Satan and his shams.
Bring me your sorrows, griefs and woes;
bring me your deepest need.
Oh how I wish to comfort you;
please listen while I plead!!
I love you so, I love you so;
come, lean upon my breast,
And let me wipe your tears away,
and give you peace and rest.
